Inter-House ICT Competition 2007

Young IT Whizzkids become environmentally friendly

The theme for this year’s competition was recycling, something very close to the heart of Tollbar BEC.

The task was to create a poster that encouraged people all of ages to recycle. Students chose which software they used and then showcased the skills they have learnt in ICT. The standard of entries was extremely high across the board; the students produced creative designs and displayed great enthusiasm.

Orion house were the overall winners of the competition. Two entries of particular note were those submitted by Rebecca Wright OR12 and Elle Macmillan OR8. These two students were delighted that their entries had been chosen and were proud to receive the impressive trophy in their House Assembly. The trophy was presented by Mr Grimshaw who organised the event. He commended the students in Years 7 and 8 by saying “The pupils have really put in lots of effort, and it’s great to see that the Inter-House competition meant so much to the students; I look forward to next year!”
