Inter-House Netball Competition 2007

This inter house competition was spit into 3 tournaments; Year 7, Year 8/9 and Year 10/11.

The competition was outstanding and the enthusiasm shown by all involved was commendable.

The most fiercely contested tournament was the year 10/11 competition. This hosted many of the past and presents school representatives and also many girls who wanted to contribute for the final time to their houses and for some the college.

The Year 7 tournament was a well attended event and well organised thanks to the year 10 and 11 volunteers who managed teams and umpired games. This was also an opportunity for Mrs. Mortlock to scout for members of next year’s College teams.

The tournament would not have been the same without the support of the Pastoral Assistant Principals who helped get their House teams sorted out, and shouted advice from the side line such as ‘catch it’ and ‘shoot’!

The Results

The final positions were worked out by taking into account points gained from each of the three tournaments. As can be seen from the table below Cygnus and Lyra tied on points and on positions in each of the individual tournaments., when games between the two Houses were considered, Lyra had won 2 to Cygnus’ 1 and were therefore crowned 2006/7 Inter-House Netball Champions.
