Inter-House Charity Shield 2007-8
Once again, Tollbar collected an astonishing number of shoeboxes full of presents to send to under privileged children overseas.
Amazingly, for the second year in succession, The College has managed to raise over 1100 boxes of gifts and toiletries which will be transported to Romania and Serbia through Samaritan’s Purse.
In addition to the shoe boxes, we also collected £1900 in donations which helps towards the administration and transport of the boxes.
The House that collected the most boxes and therefore the winners of the Charity Shield was Orion with more than 250 boxes. The individual House Group that contributed the most was OR12, Mrs Woods’ form who brought in 56. 19 of the 72 House groups brought in 20 or more boxes and most House Groups got into double figures.
The highest number of shoeboxes was brought in by Joel Gibbs whose family helped him fill a massive 36, while Shannon Dixon contributed 14 and Dean Campbell filled 10 without assistance.
