My experience of being an NQT at Tollbar BEC
Being an NQT at Tollbar College is a fantastic experience. In my NQT year I have had opportunities to develop myself that some teachers spend years waiting for!
I have been allowed to attend various training conferences - the best being in Athens – Greece. One week in the sun learning about all the latest up to date information on sixth form courses.
I had the opportunity to meet teachers from all over the world, Geneva, Egypt, Switzerland etc. I was in a group of teachers with collectively 400 years experience between them! All experts in their field all willing to share their knowledge and experience with me!
It was a wonderful opportunity to develop my subject knowledge and get a real understanding of the courses I would teach. I know I will go into the classroom and share that information and that the students will benefit from the training I have been given.
