Outside the Classroom

  • The College has a deserved reputation for sporting excellence and all students are encouraged to participate.
  • Homework Clinics are offered in a variety of subjects so that students can access our excellent resources outside the college day.
  • Tollbar Business & Enterprise College has a long-established tradition of foreign exchange visits with schools in Germany, France and Sweden.
  • Summer Schools have operated for a number of years to support Gifted and Talented students and those who require additional support in Literacy and Numeracy prior to their joining the College.
  • After-school support is arranged for pupils who need additional help.
  • The Young Enterprise project, sponsored by local businesses, operates in the upper school and our Sixth Form. Over the years our students have collected many awards in their annual competitions.
  • The College supports students who wish to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
  • Sixth Form students participate in the STA's Tall Ships Voyages.
  • A wide range of educational visits to support the curriculum is offered to students in all years.
  • Consistent with the entrepreneurial culture implicit in a Specialist Business and Enterprise College is our promotion of educational competitions and promotions among our students.
