Principal's Statement

PrincipalThis planner will prove invaluable in helping you to plan your time effectively. You should record homework and coursework and key dates when work has to be handed in or when you have to attend an event. It is probably a good idea to record your social events and other commitments in order to manage your time in total. Students who successfully plan their time are able to meet coursework deadlines and achieve their best in examinations.

The assessment section will enable you to record your target grades and the strategies you need to adopt in order to achieve them. You should make sure that your planner is up to date with your attendance, letters home, homework and targets readily available as you need them each day.

If you have any problems at any stage of your time at Tollbar you must speak to your subject teacher, House Tutor or Head of House so that we can help you to achieve your best and be happy here.

I work very hard to provide the best facilities and equipment for you and if you have any suggestions on how life at Tollbar could be improved please relate these through your House Council so that I can carefully consider your suggestions.

The staff and I view the students as the most important element in the College and we will do our utmost to help you to be happy here. Work hard in your studies this year and remember, ‘energy and persistence will conquer all things!’
