Children in Need Concert
‘This n That’ specialise in event management, and their first project was a charity concert which involved the male PE and Humanities staff of Tollbar BEC volunteering to dress up in drag while performing a well known song! Not only this but we also had a famous drag artist; Misty Willows, who made two appearances on the day and brought much laughter among the students and teachers of Tollbar BEC.

The concert was held across two dinner time sessions to allow all years to attend from years 7-11 and the hall was arranged so that some students were seated on the floor and the others were seated on chairs to allow maximum capacity. We had many members of staff to help us with crowd control and there weren’t any problems caused. We charged 50p per ticket as we felt this would attract the highest amount of custom.
The second main act was ‘Britney Smears’ (pictured right) one of Tollbar BEC’s well-known English teachers, who sang his own version of ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ by Britney Spears! There was much laughter among the audience (pictured top right).
