Area Final

The local finals began late afternoon on Tuesday 19^th April. The Young Enterprise Companies, including ‘This n That’ were judged upon their presentation abilities, they way in which they spoke to judges, their ICT skills and coordination, their trade stand display, how well they marketed their products/services and on their overall successes of their businesses. The companies sold a range of different products, from candles and soaps to plants and flowers! The companies were always under the watchful eyes of the judges and the day consisted of many questions and conversations plus a delightful buffet towards the evening.

When guests began to arrive at 6.00pm the real judging commenced. Each company had to complete a 10-minute presentation to judges and guests to sum up their downfalls and achievements throughout the year. After attending the Local final in Barton we are delighted to say that ‘This n That’ from Tollbar BEC are now the proud owners of awards for the ‘Best Company Presentation’ and ‘Best Marketing’, not only this but the ‘This n That’ team were ecstatic when the winning company was announced, only to find that the ‘This n That’ Young Enterprise company were the overall winners of the local finals and they shall now be going to the Strategic Final in Tickton on May 12^th.

Winning the competition has brought endless delight to ‘This n That’ and it was wonderful to finally achieve something in return to always remember for all the hard work that has been committed by the dedicated students of Tollbar BEC.
