Citizenship

The Citizenship Curriculum Area encompasses three main elements, Personal, Social and Health Education, Citizenship and Vocational Education. The Curriculum area also has responsibility for delivering Double Award Applied GCSE in Leisure and Tourism, Double Award Applied Health and Social Care, Level 2 Preparation for Working Life, Level 2 Wider Key Skills and BTEC Short Course Certificate in Employability Skills at Key Stage 4. At Sixth form we are also responsible for AS/A2 Applied GCE Leisure Studies.

CPSHE is a compulsory subject in Key Stages 3 and 4, however, opportunities are available through other subjects and activities across the school to assist in meeting the aims and objectives of CPSHE. CPSHE incorporates the national curriculum framework for Personal, Social and Health and Economic Education (CPSHEE), and makes a large contribution to delivery of the National Curriculum statutory order for Citizenship.
