Courses and Qualifications

Key Stage 3:
Students follow the national curriculum in science. The course is taught over 2 years using the Exploring Science scheme of work. Students have 4 Science lessons each week.

Key Stage 4:
(GCSEin21stCenturyScienceOCR) - Two or three from Biology, Chemistry and Physics, worth 1 GCSE each. Assessed using a mixture of coursework and modular exams.

BTEC First Diploma in Applied Science (Edexcel)- worth the equivalent of 4 GCSEs which is assessed continuously based on assignments completed during the three years. There is no exam.

BTEC First Certificate in Applied Science (Edexcel)- worth the equivalent of 2 GCSEs, which is assessed continuously based on assignments completed during the three years. There is no exam.
