The Curriculum Area has previously supported and successfully now runs the Young Enterprise experience within the College where teams of year 10 and 6th form students set up and run their own small business in competition with schools from all over the country.

Every year in July Year 8 students get to take part in the Roller Coaster Challenge which is a day of technology/enterprise activities. Students get to pit their wits against one another in a range of problem-solving activities with support from volunteers from outside business and industry.

All projects completed within the KS3/4 and KS5 curriculum have a focus on designing with Business and Enterprise in mind. From needs and user groups to costing and resources students are encouraged to think about and make comparisons to industrial practices and processes.
