The secrets behind the success of Tollbar Business and Enterprise College are to be shared with several schools and colleges around the country.
Tollbar principal David Hampson has been invited to explain how it became one of Britain's top 10 comprehensives when he begins a series of talks on behalf of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust.
The national presentations will centre on using data and strategies to teach high levels of mathematics GCSE achievement.
Jointly sponsored by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF), the seminars will allow Tollbar to share its experiences of GCSE success in recent years, having notched up some of the country's best results, and having received an outstanding Ofsted report.
Mr Hampson, who received an OBE for his services to education earlier this year, said: "I am honoured to have the opportunity to share the ethos and practice implemented so effectively at Tollbar so far, and I hope that it will be of benefit to other colleges around the country."
"For instance, our work with National Statistician, Professor Jesson enables us to have a clear indication of the progress of students, so we truly know when we are adding value to their outcomes."
"Our results have been achieved by working closely with each individual child and ensuring provision matches student needs."
