Tollbar Business Enterprise and Humanities College students were praised for their "achievement, endeavour and sporting prowess" at the school’s presentation evening.
Principal David Hampson was "delighted" following what has been the most successful year in the school's history.
He said: "This is the most committed group of young people I have ever come across." The attitude we have here is that failure is not an option."
"The students' outcome is not always about results, however, it's about enthusiasm and the assets they will be to society."
"Since 2003 we have put in measures to ensure the progression of students year on year; our job this year is to maintain these standards because obviously we are at the height."
Phil Bond, Chair of Governors, said: "The journey to get where we are has been a long one, but the future is very exciting."
"We've come here tonight to celebrate the hard work of students that has led to the school's international reputation and the willingness to progress even further."
The school is celebrating its recent partnership with Edge Hill University, creating Tollbar Edge, which is looking to take on academies in the area.
Guest speaker Robert Smedley, Dean of Faculty of Education for Edge Hill University, said: "When you put together two outstanding organisations, the result is something extremely extraordinary indeed."
"It is an absolute privilege to be invited to this evening's presentation and I find it inspirational visiting Tollbar; to see the talent that is present here."
"For me, it's very important to be a part of this key event because of the partnerships of two organisations and to recognise and reward the achievement of our young people."
Mr Smedley also donated £3,000 to the college's achievement funds, describing the way Tollbar recognised and rewarded its young people's accomplishments as "phenomenal".
The evening's musical performers included The Tollbar Jazz Band, The Senior Vocal Ensemble and solos from James Blake.
