TOLLBAR Business and Enterprise College's principal, David Hampson, has been invited to a prestigious dinner in recognition of the school's achievements.
He will join heads from other schools round the country on March 9 at the Celebration of High Attainment in London.
Organised by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust, the event recognises schools which have at least 60 per cent or more of pupils getting five or more GCSEs including English and Maths - Tollbar achieved 86.2 - as well as those which beat the national average for science and modern foreign languages.
Mr Hampson said: "When I attend dinners such as this, it is on behalf of every student, teacher, parent and governor who has put their time and effort into ensuring that students who leave Tollbar have been given the very best education to equip them for the next stage of their lives."
"Receiving acknowledgments like this one from the SSAT proves we are getting it right."
