Teachers from all over the world are lining up for jobs at Tollbar Business and Enterprise College.
Professionals from Germany, Australia and China have already joined, or will be joining the college in the next 12 months, with applications also being received from many more countries across the globe.
The new teachers will complement existing staff and will mostly be fulfilling roles in subjects where there are now major shortages in the UK, particularly science and maths.
German and psychology teacher Maria Wittek joined Tollbar Sixth Form College in January this year to teach International Baccalaureate (IB) students.
Having studied the IB course herself before going to St Andrew's University, German-born Maria says her experience helps her to relate to the students, who are only the second Tollbar contingent to study for the award.
Maria, who will complete her one-year Graduate Training Programme at Tollbar, said she was determined to teach in the UK.
"I have always wanted to teach the International Baccalaureate because I feel it encourages students to find their own answers and to take responsibility for their learning", she said. "They are exposed to a lot more subjects and it gives them a much better outlook on life as they go to university."
"I am absolutely delighted to have got a job at Tollbar and I am really enjoying the experience."
"I am living in Grimsby and, even in the short time I have been here, I have seen my students grow and mature through their courses."
"I get to teach German as a foreign language and I also get to put my own experiences of IB to good use."
Principal David Hampson said the college - which is also a teacher training centre and is in line to become an academy - is well-known for excellence in education and teaching staff from all over the world are realising the benefits of working there.
He said: "There is no doubt we have severe shortages in certain subject areas in this country, and attracting staff to work in this region can be an added difficulty."
"However, we are fortunate at Tollbar because our examination results speak for themselves and, on the strength of our success, we are able to attract excellent teachers from other countries to work here, ensuring our students get the best education in all areas of the curriculum."
North East Lincolnshire Council was unable to provide figures for other schools in the area.
