Dozens of talented young footballers gathered at Humberston Comprehensive for a special tournament in memory of 13 year old Kit Chu.
The event, which took place at the school on Humberston Avenue, saw around 90 boys take part to remember the Humberston School pupil, who died following a road incident in Tetney.
Schools sports co-ordinator Mike Womersley said: "I knew Kit and he was a keen footballer, a bundle of fun and someone who would do anything to help people out."
"It's great that we can hold the event in memory of him and encourage young people to get involved in sport. We also have the Humberston School Leadership Academy refereeing today and we are hoping to hold one again next year."
The 10 schools which took part were: Matthew Humberstone, Whitgift, Humberston, St Mary's, Hereford, Havelock, St James's, Oasis academy, Lindsey and Tollbar Business and Enterprise College, which took away the Kit Chu Memorial Trophy for winning the tournament.
Tollbar pupil Rhodie Clarke (12) said: "We played well and it's awesome to have won."
Jake Browne (12) added: "It was important to take part in the event for Kit and we couldn't have asked for anything more, it's great that we won."
Kit's brother and sister Gizmo and Huong Chu also attended the tournament to show respect for Kit.
Huoing (29) said: "We are so grateful that this event has been organised, Kit loved football, he was only in this area two or three years and he met so many people, everyone loved him."
"He will always be remembered."
Gizmo (20) added: "I'd just like to say a big thank you to everybody that took part today, for all the teams who came down, it's been brilliant and Kit would have really appreciated it."
