Girl's Performance Was A Class Above

AS THE Festival Of Music And Words heads towards tomorrow's grand finale, youngsters spoke of their joy of performing before an audience - and the excitement of winning awards.

Eleanor Thompson, 14, of Tollbar Business Enterprise and Humanities College, won second place in the musical theatre class with Just You Wait from My Fair Lady.

She said: "It was something I had practiced for musical theatre exams I had taken recently, so it was quite fresh in my mind.

"I really like musical theatre because you have to get into character and get that part across to the audience."

"I hope one day I'll do it professionally."
