Newly Qualified Teachers

Tollbar welcomes newly qualified teachers (NQTs) and has consistently attracted a healthy number of NQTs year on year. We recognise the enthusiasm, energy and optimism that teachers new to the profession bring and as such we give wholehearted support to the induction process and the importance of laying secure foundations for future professional and career development.

The current teaching staff at Tollbar indicates the support given to NQTs:

Each NQT at Tollbar is supported by a Subject Mentor and Induction tutor. A member of the Leadership team coordinates a good induction programme which will help you to establish yourself as swiftly as possible with your classes, and develop your confidence and effectiveness from the outset of your career.
