Year 8 Examinations 2010

The Year 8 examinations commence straight after the February holiday. They run from Monday 22 February to Friday 26 February 2010. The timetable is printed on the reverse of this letter.

Please ensure that your son/daughter comes fully equipped for each examination. Note that equipment for normal lessons should be brought for Periods 3 and 4 each day. Students must bring their planner every day.

May I remind you that mobile phones and MP3 players are not allowed in College. The Examinations Boards are severe in their penalties for students who bring mobile phones into the Examination Hall.

These examinations are important because they indicate the standard achieved by your child before he/she makes their choice of KS4 subjects.

Please be informed that the Year 8 Curriculum Evening is now on Tuesday 27 April 2010. At this evening you will be able to discuss with teachers the subjects available to the students at Key Stage Four. Details of the evening will follow later.

Please sign your child’s planner on the College/Home Communications page 46 to indicate that you have received this letter.
