Britain 1500 – 1750,
Britain 1750 – 1900 and The twentieth Century World are taught throughout the two years.
Geography follows the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3, with topics following the Geog.123 series. Pupils study what is Geography, map skills, Brazil (including reference to ecosystems), rivers/flooding, energy, earthquakes and volcanoes in year 7. In year 8 pupils study coasts, tourism, retailing and development.
History and Geography are very successful in Key Stage 3 and large numbers of students choose these subjects as options.
RE follows the Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education used by the East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull City, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Councils. All students have to continue RE as an exam subject during Key Stage 4.
