At AS and A2 the following courses are offered:

Geography: OCR 3823/7832

At AS, students study two components: the physical environment, which studies Ecosystems, Hydrological systems, the Lithosphere and the Atmosphere, while the human environment consists of studying population, rural and urban settlements in MEDCs and LEDCs. Students also collect data in York to form the basis of a Geographical Investigation that is also submitted as part of the assessment.

At A2 students study coastal systems and Natural Hazards as well as managing urban environments and the retail sector.

History: OCR 3835/7835

At AS students study English Foreign Policy 1939 – 1963, Germany 1919 – 45 and a document study on the reign of Alfred the Great.
 
At A2 students study The Growth of Mass Media and Lenin and the Bolshevik Revolution. There is also a coursework module in this year and the students can investigate any subject of their own choosing.

At AS students study Philosophy and Ethics 1 which includes Ancient Greek influences such as Aristotle and Plato as well as Meta-ethics, Moral Relativism, Virtue Ethics and Natural Law.

At A2 students study Philosophy and Ethics 2 which includes Hick and Dawkins as well as Practical Ethics and Moral Determinism.
