Key Stage 4

The adult qualification of Key Skills is offered to selected students in Years 9-11. This qualification is highly regarded by employers and ensures that our students have the necessary skills in Literacy and Numeracy for the work place.
Students who continue to require support in KS4 (including our statemented students) receive additional help. The emphasis in KS4 is to ensure our students perform to the best of their ability in GCSEs. Individual teaching on exam preparation and techniques is a key element. As noted by OFSTED (March 2004),

Students with special educational needs make good progress and many achieve better overall than other students when their standards on entry to the College are compared with their GCSE results."
