Accommodation and Resources

Most staff teaching a full timetable of Maths have their own teaching room. The majority of Maths rooms are located within one block, along with a Faculty office. Sixth Form lessons are taught within their own separate teaching block.

The curriculum area has a good range of resources available to enhance teaching and learning. There is a suite of specialist rooms, purpose built Sixth Form accommodation, twelve interactive whiteboards and two dedicated ICT rooms, both of which hold 32 stations each.

 

We have a suite of maths programs to enhance learning at all Key Stages. These include graph drawing and dynamic geometry programs. A new addition to our resources is Quizdom which is a handheld remote system designed to engage students in the classroom. The voting technology encourages whole-class participation. It provides a fun way to assess a student's knowledge via tests, quizzes and games and gives printable reports on each student's results.
