Students throughout KS3 and KS4 are formally assessed each term. Each group has three Quality Marks, which are stored centrally within the college.

Student Behaviour - Rewards and Sanctions

A merit system is in operation for years 7 to 9 and a positive referral system is in place for years 10 and 11.

Students receive merits in Music for:
Participating in a musical event and therefore supporting the College.
Passing grade exams or gaining certificates at local music festivals.
Performing within the class.
Achieving a consistent good standard of class and homework.
Sanctions are very rarely used as the students enjoy the subject, but where necessary we follow the College policy on sanctions.
