TBEC Evening of Sporting Excellence 2006
In order to celebrate the sporting achievement of the whole college a formal Sporting Excellence Dinner has now become an annual event.
Our first dinner was supported by International Olympic athlete, World Student Games and

Commonwealth Games medal winner Anthony Whiteman (Kelly Holmes’s Olympic trainer) who was invited to attend the occasion as well as deliver a short talk on the pursuit of sporting excellence. He then presented the prizes to this years winners from all of our teams.
Prizes were awarded to the best Sports male and female student from each year and the outstanding student within each sporting activity in Year 11,
together with a formal presentation of all trophies won during the season.
The students attending the event wore formal dress and enjoyed a three course sit down meal.
Sports Assembly
Each year we hold a special sports assembly, to which parents and grandparents are invited to attend. It is at these assemblies that students, normally in Year 10 and 11, are awarded 'colours' ties for their hard work, commitment and dedication to college teams over the previous years. We also issue colours to students and teams who have achieved significant sporting success at County level and above for students in Years 7, 8 and 9.
