Policies


The Science Faculty follows the College Policy in the rewarding of success and in the application of sanctions for misdemeanours.

This includes teacher praise, merits, positive referrals annual science prizes for Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as for Double and Single Award Science students. Trophies for outstanding achievement include the Burton Cup for A-level Physics and the Lindsey Oil Refinery Cup for A-level Chemistry.

In BTEC letters are sent home to show progress in this assignment based course.

The sanctions include notes to parents in planners, letters home and ultimately detentions for the most serious offences.
