Business and ICT in Schools

Now accommodated across two floors of the Business and Enterprise Suite, the Business Curriculum Area now boasts;

  • Six teaching rooms, 5 are computer rooms.
  • Five recently upgraded specialist rooms which allow a ratio of one computer for each child.
  • Each student has their own login ID with their own storage space on the servers. Every computer is linked to the Internet and students are encouraged to visit approved sites as part of their courses and to support their own research.
  • Rooms in the Sixth Form Business Suite are configured to enable conference-style discussions, whilst also providing an area of work stations for research.
  • The Curriculum Area utilizes a total of five interactive whiteboards and video projectors.
  • Business courses make use of specialist subject software including Business Interactive, The UK Economy (provided by College Partners HSBC), The Business Review Archive, Boardworks and the GCSE Business Studies Active Book (electronic textbook).
