Student Support

The Curriculum Area provides extensive support to all students to enable them to reach their potential. Staff regular offer extra lessons at lunchtime, after the normal college day, on weekends and during student holidays to ensure students are able to complete their coursework and / or engage in effective revision.

Student Behaviour – Rewards and Sanctions

The Curriculum Area follows the College's policy in regard to rewards and sanctions. At KS4, positive referrals are awarded and commendations are sent to the Head of House.

Each class teacher, and if appropriate, the Head of Curriculum Area deals with any instances of misbehaviour and inadequate work. The Curriculum Area follows the whole College policy on sanctions. The Head of Curriculum Area also encourages staff to communicate with parents at the earliest opportunity.
