Welcome to Z Why Not?

zwhynot team

We are a company set up by Young Enterprise, in the Yorkshire and Humber Region. You might be asking yourself why “Z”? The simple answer is that we were brainstorming one day trying to think of a name, however we couldn’t come up with anything that would suit our company. A few days later, one of the members of our team just came out with the name “Z”. The managing director asked him why “Z” and he said “Why Not?” This instantly became the name of our company!

Princes QueyWhen it came to choosing a role in the company for each person we had a look at what each member would have to do. Each person in the team chose their favourite position in the company and everyone else had to agree that they were the right person for the job.

Z Why NotThinking of the perfect product to sell was challenging, but after sending out a questionnaire to find out these things, we soon realized stress balls were the most popular. We asked approximately one hundred people to make sure it was a fair result. The only problem was that we didn’t know how to make stress balls, so we searched on the internet to find some instructions. We experimented with lots of things to fill the stress balls with. The things we tried include oats, salt, sugar, and brown flour. We soon found that plain white flour was the best as it stayed the same shape where as the sugar stuck to the sides.

After selling so many at school events such as parents evenings, we soon realized that we needed to make a lot more different styles. After trying different types of decoration we found that the most popular were the simplest.
