Whether you are new to the profession or just new to Tollbar we know that it is essential that you are aware of what you can expect from the College team. All staff receives a full induction to the College and our systems. Ongoing programmes ensure everyone is up to date and fully supported for their work.

We work with a number of leading providers to ensure that our support is up to date – and help the providers know what we expect of new recruits. Our new partnership with Edge Hill University gives us direct access to an Ofsted Grade 1 establishment. Together, we are developing a range of flexible training opportunities to help people into teaching.

Ofsted graded us outstanding overall but the one aspect that was not absolutely at the top grade in every respect was the quality of teaching and learning. A lot of our focus for training is on moving even more of our lessons from good to outstanding.

We believe the International Baccalaureate Diploma is the very best education we can offer for our older students. For this and all the frequently changing qualifications, you can expect the best training to support your students' learning through the changes.

Tollbar BEC has long been committed to ensuring that every student can thrive in a society which relies increasingly on Information and Communication Technology. Staff are involved in training for and production of a new version of our vle.
